Three members of a family have been killed after a fire broke out in their tin-shed house in Chandalvog, Uttara area of Dhaka.
The deceased are Md Jahangir, 19, Roma Akter, 17, and Afrin, 14.
The fire broke out at 4:20am on Tuesday and after more than an hour of effort, three firefighting units brought the fire under control around 5:40 am, confirmed Fire Service control room duty officer Khaleda Akhter.
An electrical fault might have caused the fire. Three bodies were recovered from the scene and handed over to the police, she added.
