A Feni court on Monday sentenced three people to death and another to life term jail in a case over the murder of an autorickshaw driver in Fulgazi upazila.
District and Sessions judge Begum Jebunnesa pronounced the verdict.
The court acquitted16 other accused in the case as their guilt could not be proved.
Those sentenced to death are Rakib, Abdur Rahman Manik and Abu Tayab Bablu while the lifer is Sumon Chandra Roy.
The court also fined them 40,000 taka each.
According to the case statement, autorickshaw driver Mulkot Ahmed Miah went missing on November 18, 2010, when he was going to Munshirhat from Parshuram with his CNG autorickshaw.
Later police recovered his body and the victim’s bother filed a case with Fulgazi police station.
