Border Guard Bangladesh have seized as many as 30 Indian mobile phone handsets worth Tk 6 lakh from a house in the Chowka border area of Chapainawabganj.
A Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) patrol team of 59 Battalion, led by Assistant Director Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, raided the house belonging to Mohammad Sabur in Kaliganj village, 3km inside Bangladesh, around 1:00am on Thursday.
Some 30 Indian mobile phone handsets hidden inside a bed box in the house were seized, the 59 BGB Battalion said in a release. The estimated market value of the seized mobile phone handsets is Tk 6 lakh.
Legal steps are being taken in this regard, the BGB said.
