Bangladesh on Tuesday reported 30 Covid-19 deaths in the 24 hours till 8:00 am on Tuesday brining its tally of fatalities to 12,211, according to a release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services.
Besides, 1,272 people tested positive for the virus during the same period pushing the caseloads to 782,129.
The number of recoveries rose to 724,209 with 1,115 patients got cured from the virus taking the rate of recoveries to 92.59 per cent, said the directorate.
The rate of positivity now stands at 13.64 per cent while mortality rate at 1.56 per cent.
Bangladesh is currently under a nationwide lockdown which is scheduled to continue till May 23 to curb the risks of a second wave of the virus pandemic.
