Four people sustained burn injuries after a gas cylinder exploded during installation of a gas connection in Sherpur upazila of Bogura Friday.
The incident happened in Mohipur colony area of the upazila around 11:00am.
The injured were identified as Josna Begum, 30, wife of Rasel Imran; Helena Begum, 30, wife of Anowar Hossain; Amena, 42, wife of late Anowar Hossain and his son Nuruzzaman Noyon, 32—residents of Mohipur colony area.
On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and rescued them.
The injured have been sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, said Ratan Hossain, station officer at Sherpur Fire Service and Civil Defence.
