At least four people suffered burn injuries when a gas cylinder exploded at their house in Fatullah of Narayanganj on Saturday night.
All of them have been admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.
The injured were identified as Gani Mia, Sayeed, Milon and China Begum. Among them, China Begum is in critical condition.
Confirming the matter, Deputy Director of Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence Abdullah AL Arefin said the fire broke out around 12:30am when someone tried to light the gas stove with a match stick, said Abdullah Arefin.
However, the locals doused the fire before Fire Service reached the spot.
According to preliminary investigation, a gas cylinder leakage caused the fire, he added.
