4 international expos begin at ICCB

The CEMS-Global USA inaugurated a series of international expos titled 28th Build Bangladesh 2023, 25th Power Bangladesh 2023, 20th Solar Bangladesh 2023, and 5th Lighting Bangladesh 2023 Expo on Thursday.

The expos will help support Bangladesh’s march forward to pursue sustainable energy solutions as well as infrastructural development, read a press release.

To showcase build and construction materials, method, equipment, real estate development, water treatment, technologies and solutions, these international expos are being held from December 7 – December 9 at the city’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).

More than 350 stalls from 10 countries are participating in this expo.

Meherun N Islam, president and managing director of CEMS-Global USA and Asia-Pacific presided over the inaugural session, while Md Anisur Rahman Miah, chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) attended as the special guest.

Meherun N Islam said, “We are optimistic that these exhibitions organised with multi-dimensional industries will be helpful in the overall development of Bangladesh.

“The progress of construction and power industry together will play an important role in the country’s economic growth. Besides, exhibitions will play an effective role in promoting trade by establishing direct B-to-B communication between buyers and sellers as a fruitful platform.”

Md Anisur Rahman Miah said, “We are on the way to becoming a developing country though there are many barriers. Bangladesh is a rising economy. These kinds of expos are proof of our ability.

“Sustainable cities and communities is the goal which we are working for and we are working with UN-Habitat. We want coordination from every stakeholder.”

CEMS-Global USA’s Power Series of Exhibitions in Bangladesh are poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the nation's energy landscape. These expos collectively showcase cutting-edge technology, renewable energy solutions, and advanced lighting concepts.

These events will play an important role in infrastructure development for the country's urbanisation, as it brings together stakeholders from various industries, including construction, real estate and more.

The 25th Power Bangladesh International Expo 2023, is featuring power generation and transmission, pv power, energy and renewable energy; in conjunction with the 20th Solar Bangladesh International Expo 2023, featuring photovoltaic solar generation and transmission, solar equipment, energy and renewable energy and advanced lighting concepts.

The 5th Dhaka International Lighting Expo 2023, is featuring lighting control, intelligent system, LED technology and lighting, lighting engineering, lighting design and intelligent lighting, altogether to highlight the dedication which Bangladesh has brought in the booming power sector.

Besides, the 5th Water Bangladesh International Expo 2023 will be showcasing water, wastewater technologies and solution-based products and service industry which will reveal to the country, the rapid developments in the industry as well as new technology components.

Md Abdur Rahim Khan, additional secretary (export) of ministry of commerce, Mohammad Hossain, director general of ministry of power, Md Mizanur Rahman, deputy managing director of Dhaka WASA, Syed Ershad Ahmed, president of American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh attended the inauguration event as special guests.
