Four people including a child were killed and three others injured as a train hit a private car in Vangagate area of Noapara in Abhaynagar of Jashore on Friday.
The accident happened in Bhanga Gate area of the upazila around 4:30pm.
Abhaynagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tajul Islam confirmed the matter to The Business Post.
Two of the deceased were identified as Hirok Bhuiyan, 45, Shilpi Begum, 40.
Witnesses said Khulna bound Mohanagar Express train crushed a private car at the level crossing at Noapara bridge area near Dhaka-Khulna highway in the afternoon.
The accident killed two on the spot, later, another died after being taken to the hospital, said Officer-in-Charge of Abhaynagar Police Station Tajul Islam.
The injured were admitted to the Khulna Medical College Hospital, OC said.
All of the victims were from Narail.
