Four people were killed and another injured when a speeding bus hit an autorickshaw at Nabdiganj in Rangpur city on Sunday.
Two of the deceased were identified as Pabitra Nandi, a resident of Khulna’s Paikgacha, and Anil Chandra, 55, of Rangpur city.
Witnesses said the accident occurred around 7:30pm when a Rangpur-bound bus of Manik Express hit the autorickshaw on Kurigram Road.
Two passengers of the autorickshaw and its driver died on spot and two others got injured.
On information, fire service members took the injured to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries, said Farid Ahmed Chowdhury, assistant director of Rangpur Fire Service.
