At least four people, including a police official, were killed and 19 others injured as a bus overturned and crashed into a battery-run three-wheeler vehicle in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj on Friday morning.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The accident took place on Hatikumrul-Banpara Highway in the Goja bridge area of Salanga around 10:00am.
A bus of Dhaka-bound National Travels from Rajshahi overturned on the highway as its driver lost control over the steering, said Hatikumrul highway police station Office-in-Charge Md Lutfor Rahman.
The bus also crashed into the vehicle, leaving four people dead on the spot and 19 others injured, he said.
The injured were sent to Sirajganj 250-bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital.
