Four shops have been gutted in a fire at Ferryghat intersection area in Khulna.
The incident took place around midnight 12am last night. It took two hours for 11 fire service units to control the fire.
The affected shops are Nusa Furniture, Al Amin Steel Store, Ziel Book House and Balaka Book House.
Locals said the fire broke out at Nusa Furniture shop in front of Sonali Bank in Dak Bungalow area.
Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Khulna Sadar Police Station, confirmed the incident.
