The Public Service Commission (PSC) on Wednesday published the final results of the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations, recommending the appointment of 1,963 candidates to different cadres.
The final results of the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination were published on the PSC website on Wednesday afternoon.
The PSC published the results of the 40th BCS written exams on January 27 last year. A total of 10,964 candidates passed the written exams.
The BCS circular was issued in August 2018 for the recruitment of 1,903 cadres. A total of 4,12,532 candidates had applied for the 40th BCS preliminary examination. Out of them, 3,27,000 candidates took part in the preliminary exams.
A total of 20,277 candidates qualified for the exams.
Some 8,166 successful candidates have been recommended for non-cadre posts, subject to appointment based on vacancy.
