43rd BCS preliminary examination held

The 43rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary examination was held on Friday.

The 200-mark multiple choice question exam was held in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh divisions from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Earlier, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) rescheduled the date of the examination for October 29 from October 15.

According to the BPSC, as many as 4,35,190 job aspirants have applied for the 43rd BCS against over 1,800 cadre posts.

This time, the government will recruit 1,814 officials, including 300 public administration cadres, 100 police cadres, 25 foreign service cadres, and 843 education cadres.

Online registration for the preliminary test started on December 30 last year and continued until June 30 this year.
