Bangladesh witnessed a decline in its daily Covid-19 cases as 1,285 people tested positive for the virus in the 24 hours till 8:00 am on Saturday pushing the caseloads to 772,127, according to a release issued by the Director General of Health Services.
Forty-five patients died of the virus during the same period taking its tally to 11,878 .
The DGHS said that 2,492 more patients got cured from the virus taking the number of recoveries to 706,833 and the rate of recoveries at 91.54 per cent.
The rate of positivity now stands at 13.75 per cent while mortality rate 1.54 per cent.
The government imposed a nationwide lockdown on April 14 which was later extended to tackle a second wave of the virus pandemic.
