4.10 magnitude earthquake jolts Cox's Bazar

A 4.10 magnitude earthquake on Saturday afternoon rocked Cox's Bazar.

“The earthquake was felt at 4:39pm. It originated inside Myanmar at 20.90 latitudes and 92.33 longitudes,” the Assistant Meteorologist of Cox's Bazar regional office of the Meteorological Department Abdur Rahman said.

“The epicentre of the earthquake is located 377 km south and southeast of Dhaka. As a result, a tremor of magnitude 4.10 was felt in Cox's Bazar.”

The quake affected Bangladesh, India, and Myanmar.
