Five members of a family were killed in a landslide in Hneela upazila of Teknaf in Cox's Bazar.
The incident took place Tuesday night in Vilejar area of the upzila.
The victims were identified as Shukkur, Jubayer, Abdur Rahim, Kohinur and Jainba, sons and daughters of Syed Alam, resident of Pahari Gram Vilejar Para of 4 no ward in Hneela union.
Hneela Union Parishad Chairman Rasheed Mahmood Ali said the accident occurred when a hill next to the house collapsed.
Confirming the matter, Teknaf Upazila Nirbahi Officer Parvez Chowdhury said they have micing in several areas of the district warning vulnerable people.
Earlier on the same day, six people were killed in a landslide at a Rohingyas camp of Ukhia, Cox's Bazar.
