Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and 54 other judges of both Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court today received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on the first day of the nationwide vaccination programme today.
“Seven Appellate Division judges and 48 Judges from High Court Division received their vaccines today,” Supreme Court spokesperson Mohammad Saifur Rahman told BSS.
Of the judges, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain received the vaccine at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in the capital, while the other 54 judges were vaccinated at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital.
Besides on the first day of the programme, several ministers including health minister Zahid Maleque received the vaccine.
