6 Rohingyas held from refugee camps in Cox's Bazar

Armed Police Battalion (APBn) on Friday arrested six Rohingyas accused in different cases from the refugee camps in Ukhiya and Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar.

The arrested were Abdul Mannan and Enayetullah from Madhuchhara camp; Taher from Irani hill; Nazim Uddin and Nur Bashar from Lambasia camp; and Usman from Kutupalong.

Captain of the 14th APBn and in-charge of the Ukhiya Rohingya camp, SP Naimul Haque, said the detainees were involved in various crimes, including extortion, kidnapping, robbery, and murder, in the Rohingya camp area.

He said the arrested were handed over to Ukhiya police station to take necessary legal action.
