The overall progress of the first metro rail project in Bangladesh is 61.49 per cent and it is 83.52 per cent for the project’s first phase from Uttara to Agargaon.
Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader said this at a briefing at his home on Thursday.
The minister also said that the combined headway of electrical and mechanical system and collecting railing stock depo equipment progress was 52.22 per cent.
There will be six coaches on each of the meto train and there would be 24 sets of train. Already six coaches of first reached in metro rail’s Uttara depot, he said.
Shipment of second set of metro train was completed at Kobe port of Japan.
The minister said that they are expecting that the second set would reach Mongla port within by June 16. The third and fourth metro train would reach on June 11 and August13.
He also said that the fifth set of train would within Mongla by September 17.
