Authorities in Satkhira imposed a seven-day lockdown as part of the measures taken to tackle a surge in Covid-19 cases in the district.
The lockdown will begin from 6:00am Saturday.
Satkhira district administration made the announcement after a meeting of Satkhira district coronavirus prevention committee attended by Satkhira civil surgeon Dr Hussain Safayat and superintendent of police Mostafizur Rahman, among others, on Thursday.
