Seventy law officers of the Attorney General’s Office submitted their resignation on Monday. The Attorney General's Office made the disclosure on Monday.
The office employed 215 deputy and assistant attorney generals, but 70 of them resigned this morning. In response to the resignations, many candidates, including hundreds of BNP-Jamaat-backed lawyers have reportedly submitted their CVs to get these positions.
On Wednesday, additional attorney general Sheikh Mohammad Morshed, and attorney general AM Amin Uddin later resigned as well.
Then on Thursday, another additional attorney general Barrister Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury resigned. Additional Attorney General SM Munir resigned the same morning. They submitted their resignations to the Attorney General's Office.
