The 9th International Fire, Safety, and Security Expo will begin on November 21 in Dhaka to create awareness among people about firefighting.
Electronic Safety and Security Association of Bangladesh (ESSAB) will organise the three-day long expo in cooperation with the Fire Service and Civil Defence at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).
ESSAB president Zahir Uddin Babor said members of ESSAB are working continuously to ensure the fire safety and security of the overall industry, trade, and real estate sector of the country. 85 per cent of the overall fire safety project was done by ESSAB members, he informed.
At the event, Secretary General of ESSAB M Mahmudur Rashid highlighted various aspects of this expo. More than 100 world renowned companies from 30 countries will participate.
Aspiring participants can join the seminars without any charges. Each seminar can accommodate up to 800 participants and certificates will be given to all participants.
FBCCI president Mahbubul Alam was present at a press conference on the event and said, “The lessons drawn from the Tazreen Fire Tragedy have resonated with us, and we are committed to avoiding any recurrence of such a situation.” He emphasizes safety, compliance, and self-sufficiency to minimize fire accidents by taking steps by stakeholders.
