Aarong apologises

Aarong, one of the most popular fashion and lifestyle brands in Bangladesh, apologised to its customers for failure to render online sales services properly.

Aarong apologised for poor management and services in a notice on its official Facebook page on Sunday, 15 hours after a report was published on The Business Post with information and proofs regarding the allegations and complaints against the online shop of one of the country’s best sales centre.

In the apology note, Aarong writes: "Due to the high volume of traffic and orders placed on our website during the shutdown, some customers may have faced delays in delivery or responses from our customer care team. We are very sorry for the inconvenience faced during this time."

Aarong authorities further said in the post they were doing their best to ensure the delivery of all orders, which were received by may 16, before the Eid holidays.

The abundant amount of allegations Aarong had been facing are mostly not delivering on time, cancellations of order without any notification which goes against its customer care services.

During this lockdown, email is the only medium that can help people to do their Eid shopping without visiting the outlets. And that’s seemingly becoming more dangerous. Along with the product order the payment had been deducted even though the delivery did not arrive even after a month. Aarong’s only communication medium with the buyers is through e-mail.

The authorities have been contacted through e-mail but there were no response like a cheating lovers silent treatment. Not only these but also complaint was posted on the facebook page but there was no response as well.

And more contact to the customer care resulting in harassment.

The Business Post on Saturday at 6:19 pm published a report with proofs that are posing as the truth behind the allegations. Aarong issued the apology note afterwards, on Sunday morning.
