The 40th annual Urs Sharif of Oli-e-Kamel Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Syed Abdus Salam Ichapuri (RA) will be held on March 25.
The Mahfil Entezamiya Committee is ready to hold the Urs with due fervour at Nanupur Astana-e-Icchapuri Darbar Sharif in Fatikchhari Upazila of Chattogram. Maulana Sheikh Syed Afif Uddin Al-Jilani Al-Baghdadi, a descendant of the Boro Pir Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) and Sazzadanshin of Baghdad Sharif Darbar, is set to attend the event.
PHP Family Chairman, Mahfil Entezamiya Committee President, and Ekushey Padak winner for his contributions to social welfare, Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman made the announcement at a press conference in the Chattogram Press Club on Tuesday.
On the occasion of the annual Urs, various programmes from the event will include – recitation from the Holy Quran, Khatme Khajegan, and discussion meeting, Milad Mahfil and Zikir Ajkaar. The Urs will conclude with the offering of Akheri Munajat after Isha prayers.
Addressing the press conference, Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman said, “I became established as an industrialist in the country from a salaryman earning only Tk 100. All this has been made possible by the grace of Pir Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Syed Abdus Salam Ichapuri.
Describing various spiritual events of Huzur, he said, “Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Syed Abdus Salam Ichapuri is the bright star of the spiritual world, the greatest saint and scholar of the age.
“Unimaginable faith and spiritual strength, unconditional surrender and self-sacrifice to the will of Allah Ta'ala were the hallmarks of his character.”
Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman continued, “Baba was not just Icchapuri Kamel, but a Mokammel Oli. Many have become Oli through his company. The great scholar has translated Masnavi Sharif, along with his spiritual practice. He authored 104 books.
“For 36 years, he was engaged in studies without leaving his home. I have become an industrialist today with the blessings of Hazrat Icchapuri Huzur. But I was just an employee with a Tk 100 salary.”
Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman further said, “Life changes for the better when we get near Allah’s Olis. I urge all to serve Allah's Mokbul Olis. People should not be rude or critical of Allah’s Olis.
“We will accept, respect and serve all Olis if there is an opportunity. A seminar will be organised on the life of Baba Icchapuri.”
Anjuman-e-Rahmania Ahmadia Sunni Trust Senior Vice President Mohammad Mohsin wished a long life to Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman. He added, “Shah Sufi Syed Abdus Salam Ichapuri has kept the Sufi Shaheb to serve Allah's Olis.
Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman has made a special request to everyone to attend the Urs of Allah’s Oli to secure Allah's Fazal, Karam, Rahmat, and Neyamot.
Chairman of Gausia Committee Bangladesh Peyar Mohammad Commissioner, Chairman of Chittagong Zila Parishad ATM Peyarul Islam, President of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Maulana Kazi Moinuddin Ashrafi, and Jamiatul Falah Jumma Masjid Khatib Maulana Syed Abul Taleb Mohammad Alauddin Al Quadri spoke at the press conference.
