Anti-Corruption Commission on Wednesday filed a case against Regent Group Chairman Shahed Karim alias Md Shahed and three others on the allegations of embezzling money from NRB Commercial Bank.
ACC Director Md Sirajul Huque filed the case in Motijheel Thana.
The other accused are Managing Director of Regent Hospital, Md Ibrahim Khalil, former principal officer of NRB Commercial Bank Md Shohanur Rahman and vice president of the same bank Wahid bin Ahmed.
According to the FIR, ACC alleged that these four persons misappropriated above Tk 1.50 crore within the period of 2014 to 2018 from the bank with mutual understanding and cooperation.
ACC director of public relations Pranab Kumar Bhattachariya told The Business Post that ACC filed a case against four persons including Shahed on the ground of misappropriating money for NRB Commercial Bank.
