ACC summons 6 CMSD officials

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday (July 12) summoned six officials of Central Medical Stores Depot (CMSD) as part of an investigation into their alleged involvement in purchasing substandard masks and PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment).

The officials are--CMSD assistant director (admin) DrMdShahjahan, deputy director Dr Md Zakir Hossen, store in-charge Dr Sabbir Ahmed, store officer Kabir Ahmed, senior store keeper Md Yousuf Fakir and former chief coordinator Dr Ziaul Haque.

They have been asked to appear before the ACC on July 19 and 20.

ACC Public Relations Officer (PRO) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to The Business Post.
