Road, rail and waterways accidents claimed 295 lives in 15 days across the country before and after this year's Eid-ul-Azha, said Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Shamiti on Friday.
During this period, some 488 more people were injured in these accidents.
Also, at least 262 accidents occurred from July 14 to 28, said the organisation while presenting its 'Eid Jatra Road Accident Report-2021' during a press briefing at Dhaka Reporters' Unity.
According to the report, 273 people were killed and 447 injured in 240 road and highway accidents alone. Most of them died in motorcycle accidents.
