The government has extended age limit of bank job seekers 21 months across the country considering adverse impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The central bank issued a notice in this regard on Thursday.
The central bank notice said that applicants who have reached the age of 30 from March 25 last year to December 31 this year, will be eligible for the benefit.
The banks who failed to call for recruitments due to the pandemic, will have to adjust the age limit of candidates in the recruitment calls that will be published by December 31 this year.
The decision was made on August 19.
However, this age waiver won’t be applicable for the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations.
