The government has appointed Md Ahsanul Jabbar as the new director-general of the Department of Narcotics Control on deputation.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on Thursday in this regard.
The appointment was made as per the President's order and will come into effect without any delay, the notification said.
Md Ahsanul Jabbar was serving as the chairman (additional secretary) of Bangladesh Forest Industries Development Corporation.
