Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leaders said every person irrespective of religion, caste and creed has been living peacefully in Bangladesh as they visited different Puja Mandaps in the district.
The leaders went to the Puja Mandaps of Farabari, School Hat, Prajeya, Hall Para and Ashrampara of the Sadar Upazila and exchanged pleasantries with the Hindu community people, reports BSS.
BNP Central Executive Committee Member and district unit General Secretary Mirza Faisal Amin led the delegation team of the party and greeted the devotees at Puja Mandaps.
He said, "I came here to extend greetings to the devotees in favour of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.”
He said another team of local BNP leaders also visited various Puja Mandaps at Baliadangi, Pirganj, Ranisankail and Haripur areas to help smooth the celebration of the Puja festival.
