Amader Shomoy Deputy Manager Saifuzzaman Sumon passes away

Saifuzzaman Sumon, the deputy manager of Dainik Amader Shomoy Marketing Department, has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun).

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment in the ICU of Dhaka’s Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Tuesday around 2.30pm.

Sumon was under treatment for several months due to health complications. He was admitted to the ICU for a week as his condition deteriorated. Suman's death casts a pall of gloom among his family, relatives, and colleagues.

Countless family, friends, and colleagues rushed to the BSMMU on hearing the news of Sumon’s untimely demise. Mainul Alam, executive editor of Dainik Amader Shomoy and The Business Post; Sheikh Shakil, head of marketing at Online Department; and many others were present there.

Mainul Alam said, “Suman was a very calm, polite and good person. His integrity, dedication to work, and love for the organisation are exemplary.”

“On behalf of the Amader Shomoy family and management, I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Sumon, and wish his soul peace. May Allah grant him Jannatul Ferdous.”

Saifuzzaman Sumon's home is in Ratanhat village of Jhenaidah city. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Quoting Sumon's family, Amader Shomoy Acting Head of Marketing Rashidul Hasan said, “Sumon’s family members have left for his native home in Jhenaidah with his body. He will be laid to eternal rest in the family graveyard after a funeral Wednesday morning, after his brother returns home from the UK.
