Another police officer, who was tested Covid-19 positive, died at Central Police Hospital in the capital on Sunday morning.
The officer breathed his last around 10:40am at the intensive care unit of the hospital.
Razu Ahmed, 40, an inspector of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, was admitted to the hospital on May 4.
He is the 13th policeman in the country to have died of the virus.
