Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police have arrested two people including a member of banned militant outfit Ansar Al Islam from Dhaka and Rajbari district.
The CTTC unit arrested Sakib, a member of the Ansar Al Islam, for his alleged involvement in a plot to carry out attack on Jatiya Sangshad Bhaban, from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area in the capital around 7:45 pm on Wednesday, said Additional deputy commissioner of DMP Iftekharul Islam.
Besides, the team also arrested Ali Hasan Osama from Rajbari around 1:30 am on Thursday for his suspected involvement in sabotage plan.
