Bangladesh Ansar and VDP force has been deployed to ensure the security to all 67 Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNO) in eight districts of Rajshahi division after the brutal attack on the Ghoraghat UNO in Dinajpur.
Shah Fazley Rabbi, Rajshahi Range Director of Ansar and Village Defense Party (VDP), said a four-member armed Ansar VDP team has been deployed to the UNOs each since Friday last.
They will remain posted in both offices and residents of the UNOs for their security purposes round the clock, he added.
He further said the government has taken the decision of deploying Ansar-VDP to make sure the security of all the UNOs throughout the country after the attack on Ghoraghat UNO Wahida Khanom on Thursday.
