A research unveiled on Monday found that 98 per cent of the vaccinated people in Bangladesh have grown antibodies.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital conducted the study, titled “Haematological Parameters and Antibody Tire after Vaccination Against SARS-CoV-2”, on 209  people who had been vaccinated between April and July.

The study also showed that the people with a history of Covid-19 infection grew more antibodies.

However, among the vaccinated people, 42 per cent faced side-effects, the study found.

The study findings were unveiled at an event held at BSMMU chaired by the university vice-chancellor and lead of the research professor Md Sharfuddin Ahmed.

Sharfuddin said that more research is needed to learn more about antibodies after vaccination.
