The Appellate Division on Sunday adjourned the hearing on application of Ron Haque Sikder, managing director of Sikder Group and his brother Dipu Haque Sikder for permission to appeal against the High Court's bail plea rejection order for three days.
An Appellate Division bench led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order on Sunday.
Earlier on 9 August, the Appellate Division adjourned hearing on Sikder brothers' in a case filed on charges of abducting, torturing and threatening to shoot two top officials of Exim Bank over a loan, for two weeks.
On May 28, the brothers were sued for an alleged attempt to murder by shooting, detaining and torturing Exim Bank MD Mohammad Hayder Ali Mia and additional MD Mohammad Firoz Hossain.
