Armed forces will be deployed across the country during a weeklong strict lockdown period starting from July 1.

The Directorate of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a press release in this regard on Wednesday.

The Cabinet Division earlier on the day issued a gazette notification announcing a set of rules and regulations to be imposed during the nationwide lockdown from July 1-7.

According to the notification, members of Armed Forces, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Battalion Police will work alongside the civilian administration in enforcing the lockdown restrictions.
