A Dhaka court has issued an arrest warrant against the owner of Regent Hospital and Chairman of Regent Group, Md Shahed, in connection with two cases filed over embezzlement of Tk 3.68 crore.
Besides, the court asked the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Uttara West Police Station to submit the execution order of the arrest warrant issued against Shahed by August 13.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mainul Islam passed the order on Monday.
Earlier, Md Saifullah Masud, a proprietor of Masud Enterprise located in Karwan Bazar area, filed two separate cases with the court against the accused.
