Art for Charity draws huge responses

Dhaka Storytellers’ “Art for Charity” – a daylong charity art camp featuring 19 eminent and emerging artists – attracted huge responses.

The event held on Friday at Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed Park, Mohila Angan in Gulshan-2, Dhaka brought together art enthusiasts, philanthropists, and members of the community, read a press release.

To assist the people in need, the entire proceeds of the art camp will be contributed to the Chief Advisor’s Relief and Welfare Fund for disaster relief and rehabilitation.

As Bangladesh is grappling with the recent devastating floods, many people are left homeless and struggling for bare necessities.

A diverse range of artworks from renowned artists such as Monirul Islam, Hamiduzzaman Khan,  Abdus Shakoor Shah, Farida Zaman, Jamal Ahmed, Mohammed Eunus, Rokeya Sultana, Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Ivy Zaman, Kanak Chanpa Chakma, Mohammad Iqbal, Anisuzzaman Anis, Azmeer Hossain, Sourav Chowdhury, Monjur Rashid, Maneek Bonik, Antora Mehrukh Azad, Nabaraj Roy and Rasel Rana (Sajan).
