Asia African Peace & Justice SDGs Conference held in Dhaka

A two-day-long Asia African Peace and Justice SDGs Conference 2022 concluded on Saturday at the Patio Auditorium of Gulshan Club in Dhaka.

Around 150 individuals, who work in various human rights organisations and research fields, took part in the conference organised by Access to Human Rights International (AHRI).

Five keynote speakers from Bangladesh, the USA, India and Sri Lanka delivered their valuable speeches on various topics at the event, according to AHRI.

The topics included Substantially Reduce Corruption and Bribery, Reduce Violence Everywhere, Promote the Rule of Law and Ensure Equal Access to the Justice, and Protect Children from Exploitation and Ensure Public Access to Information.

In his welcome speech, AHRI Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Md Anamul Hoque, also an advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, said that it is essential to build awareness and create a skilled workforce through counselling and proper training to ensure sustainable peace and justice.

At the end of the conference, the participants were given crests and certificates.
