Adviser of Ministry of Labour and Employment Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan called on all departments under the ministry to actively engage in their responsibilities and ensure no activities remain stagnant.
“Ensure that no activities are left in a state of inertia,” Asif said during a meeting with ministry and departmental officials this morning (Aug 18) at the secretariat.
Asif acknowledged the many opportunities for work within the Ministry of Labour and Employment, but also recognised the existing obstacles and challenges.
He expressed hope that during the current crisis, effective initiatives could be taken for the benefit of the country and its people, and urged the officials for their utmost cooperation in implementing these measures.
The meeting began with a welcome address to the adviser by ministry officials. Following that, the ministry’s vision, mission, and activities were presented, and he was briefed on ongoing development projects.
Md Mahbub Hossain, secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and senior officials from the ministry and its affiliated departments were present at the time among others.
