At least 100 physicians across the country have been infected with the novel coronavirus while treating patients infected with the same virus, said Bangladesh Doctors’ Foundation (BDF).
Most of the infected doctors are from Dhaka, said Nirupam Das, chief administrator of BDF.
Expressing concern over the infections, he said: “There will be no doctor left for providing treatment to patients, if the number of infected doctors goes up further.”
As of Saturday (April 18), at least 57 nurses were been tested coronavirus positive countrywide and as many as 270 others were sent to quarantine.
