Attorney General AM Amin Uddin resigns

Attorney General AM Amin Uddin submitted his resignation letter to the president on Wednesday.

Public relations officer of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Md Rezaul has confirmed the matter to journalists.  

Amin Uddin – appointed by the law ministry in October 2020 – served as the 16th attorney general of Bangladesh, after the position became vacant on September 27 the same year following the then attorney general Mahbubey Alam’s death due to Covid-19.

Amin Uddin had previously served as president and secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
