Bangladesh Agricultural Journalist Forum has formed a new committee for the 2021-2022 session.
The committee was announced during a program held at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council training auditorium on Saturday.
Golam Iftekhar Mahmud, senior reporter of Prothom Alo has been elected as the President of the committee; and Shahanuare Shaid Shahin, deputy city editor of Bonik Barta as the General Secretary for the second consecutive year.
Daily Ittefaq’s MA Jalil Munna has been elected as the senior vice president and The Financial Express’ Yasir Wardad elected as the vice president of the committee.
Also, The Business Post's Mehedi Al Amin has been elected as the training secretary of the committee.
Additionally, Mofizul Islam from Banglanews24 as publicity secretary, Al Amin from Sokaler Somoy as Office secretary, Zahidur Rahman from Daily Samakal as publication secretary, Sushanta Sinha from Jamuna TV as research secretary, Kaberi Maitraya from Ekattor TV as woman affairs secretary, Mohammad Al-Masum Molla from Daily Star as international secretary, Minakshi Chowdhury from BTV as information secretary, Shawkat Ali from The Business Standard as education and cultural secretary, and Saleh Mohammad Rashid Alok from politicsnews24 elected as programme secretary.
Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque was the chief guest, while Saiful Alam, editor of Dainik Jugantor and former president of National Press Club; Md Hamidur Rahman, former director general of Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE); SM Rashidul Islam, Economic Reporters’ Forum general secretary were special guests at the programme.
