The fire that broke out at a building in the capital's Banani area early on Wednesday has been fully doused.
The fire broke out on the fifth floor of the 12-storey AR Tower in Kamal Ataturk Avenue around 5am, said Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Duty Officer Ershad Hossain.
On information, three firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 6:24am, he added.
The flame was completely doused at around 7:07am. No casualties were reported in the fire incident.
The reason for the fire and the extent of the damage could not be confirmed immediately, said the fire official.
