Bangladesh air force chief leaves for Italy

Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan left Dhaka for Italy on Sunday on an official visit. He is accompanied by three members of his team, according to a press release from Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR).

The release stated that Hannan’s visit to Italy – which will take place from February 19 to 22 – is at the invitation of the Italian military equipment manufacturer Leonardo S.p.A.

During his visit, the air force chief will pay a visit to various significant installations including Leonardo’s headquarters in Rome, their Electronics Division and UAV Production Facilities.

In addition, he will make courtesy calls on high officials of Leonardo S.p.A. and discuss various bilateral issues of mutual interest, reads the press release.

The air force chief will return to Bangladesh on February 23 after completing the visit.
