The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh has decided to resume flight operations to Kuwait and Bahrain to facilitate the travel of Bangladeshi migrants.
Kuwaiti career Jazeera Airways will operate the flights, according to a release issued by CAAB on Friday.
With the decision, Kuwait and Bahrain became seventh and eighth country to see the resumption of flight operations during Covid-19 restrictions.
The CAAB earlier allowed specials flights to resume for China, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
The passengers must carry Covid-19 negative report made upon PCR test conducted within 72 hours before catching the flights, the CAAB said.
International flight operations remained suspended in Bangladesh since mid-April after Bangladesh enforced a “strict” lockdown to curb the spread of novel coronavirus.
CAAB also recently allowed domestic flights to resume on a limited scale during the lockdown period, which would end on April 28.
