Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria Masudur Rahman paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and OON on Thursday.
They discussed in brief the state of bilateral relations and deliberated on ways to strengthen collaboration between Nigeria and Bangladesh in the areas of agriculture & food processing, deep sea fishing, pharmaceuticals, trade, defence, ICT, and textiles among others.
Foreign Minister Ambassador Yousuf Maitama Tuggar at the outset of the meeting congratulated the Government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the election victory, providing her government to serve the nation once more, read a press release.
He praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her “outstanding leadership not only for Bangladesh but also at the international stage.” He acknowledged with satisfaction the great achievements of Bangladesh and its people to transform the socio-economic landscape of the country.
