Bangladesh’s export earnings in March rose by 54.82 per cent to $4.76 billion which was $3.07 billion in the same period a year ago.
According to Export Promotion Bureau data released on Monday, Bangladesh earned $4.76 billion in March, up by 54.82 per cent, which was $3.07 billion in the same period a year ago.
On the other hand, exports shipment during the July-March period of the fiscal year 2021-22 rose by 33.41 per cent to $38.60 billion against $28.93 billion in the same period a year ago.
Of the total export earnings, the RMG sector, the largest contributor to the national exports, earned $31.43 billion, which is 33.81 per cent higher compared to $23.48 billion in the same period of last fiscal year.
Knitwear products posted 35.29 per cent growth and fetched $17.11 billion, while woven items earned $14.30 billion posted a 32 per cent rise.
