Bangladesh Jewellery Expo, the first of its kind in the country, will hit the capital on March 17 to showcase the local business of jewellery products.
Organised by Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS), the mega event will mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The three-day expo will also focus on the excellent craftsmanship of local goldsmiths at Halls 1,2, and 3 of the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, BAJUS Treasurer Uttam Banik said in a media briefing on Wednesday.
BAJUS vice-presidents Gulzar Ahmed, Anwar Hossain, and Dewan Aminul Islam Shahin were also present at the press meet at Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in the capital.
The expo arena will be open from 10:00am to 8:00pm every day till March 19.
